WILLOWMORE NEWS - The Willowmore police have made contingency plans after the station was closed whilst awaiting the results of testing of members for Covid-19.
The Community Service Centre (Charge Office) has been temporarily relocated to the building opposite the Post Office, next to the municipal offices. The phone number is 044 923 8000, or Capt Smith can be contacted at 071 605 9102
On Monday, it is hoped that SAPS operations will return to normal in the main building.
Meanwhile, two more health workers at the Willowmore Provincial Hospital have tested positive for the Corona virus. “We will trace, contact and inform everyone who might have been in contact with these individuals,” said hospital CEO Joanie van Staden, in a statement to the community. She assured residents that the two workers isolated themselves immediately, and will remain in quarantine for 14 days.
Van Staden called on the community to remain calm and not panic, and not to listen to rumours.
