GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The opening of the art exhibition 'Vanishing Karoo' was a huge success with the Imibala Gallery in Church Street bursting to capacity.

The Drostdy Hotel provided snacks of their usual high standard.
Guests were served by students of the SACT (South African Tourism College in Graaff-Reinet).
Mariëtte de Villiers of the Imibala Trust explained the goals of the Trust and the role of Imibala Art Gallery Graaff-Reinet in assisting impoverished children in some of our township schools.
Three delightful 'Vintage Cars'- were 'borrowed' from the ReCollection Rides motor museum to complement the theme of 'then' Karoo dorps and added hugely to the nostalgic atmosphere.
The exhibition will run until Saturday, 28 May.
Locals and visitors alike are welcome to come and enjoy.
Kim Imrie and Ros Goodson who run the gallery will be delighted to meet you.
