GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On Friday evening, 15 March, a new art exhibition will be opened at the Imibala Gallery in Church Street, Graaff-Reinet.
The exhibition, entitled ‘Vanishing Karoo’ will feature the works of artists such as Brahm van Zyl, Joshua Miles, Willem Pretorius, Martin Haines, Catherine Brennon, Janet Dixon, Gregg Price and Frans Boekkooi among other.
Original photographs by Roger Ballen, Obie Oberholzer, Louis Botha and Lawrence Brennon will also be among the pieces on display.
Their publications will also be for sale.
All local art lovers are invited to the opening event on Friday evening, 15 March, at 18:00.
Guests can look forward to enjoying a glass of wine while perusing the works of art and meeting visual artist, Andries Bezuiidenhout, who will be at the opening.
An Afrikaans speaking poet and musician, Bezuidenhout mostly produces oil paintings of South African and other African landscapes. He was also a member of the Brixton Moord en Roof Orkes and more recently a collective called Die Vrye Radikales.
