Union produces top matriculant for the 5th time

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - As the top matriculant in 2024 in Graaff-Reinet, Joy Merifield of Union High has been awarded the prestigious Rupert Achievement Award.

The Rupert Achievement Award consists of a generous cash prize that goes towards the recipient's studies.

Merifield achieved an average of 88,29% and six subject distinctions.

This marks the fifth year in a row that Union High School produces the top matriculant in Graaff-Reinet.

Top matriculants since 2020:
2020 - Katherine Imrie
2021 - James Rose Innes
2022- Matthew Basson
2023 - Caitrin Spence
2024 - Joy Merifield
