STEYTLERVILLE NEWS - Residents of Steytlerville have been alerted to temporary water quality concerns. The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality has released a statement regarding a temporary water quality issue in Steytlerville. They attribute the problem to recent heavy rainfall in the region, which has increased the turbidity of the water.
Turbidity measures the cloudiness of water and has made it challenging for the treatment plant to maintain the usual standard of water quality.
The municipality is currently conducting tests to assess the condition of the water and to implement necessary measures to restore and maintain its quality. They assure residents that every effort is being made to address the situation promptly and effectively.
Vuyisa Jantjies, spokesperson for the municipality, confirmed that the water is safe to drink. The Advertiser will keep you posted on the progress of the municipality.
