GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Graaff-Reinet Police arrested a 34-year-old suspect on suspicion of murder after the body of a man, André Steenkamp (41), was found outside his house in Angora Street, Kroonvale, in the early morning hours of Saturday 24 April.
According to local police spokesperson, Capt Bradley Rawlinson, they were informed about the gruesome find by a woman sharing Steenkamp’s house.
"The resident alleged that she heard people talking outside the house after which she later found the deceased lying on the ground bleeding from his head," Rawlinson said.
When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the deceased had sustained multiple head injuries.
The body of the deceased was removed to the Graaff-Reinet mortuary.
The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards.
