GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - As a Covid-19 precautionary measure, the St James Anglican Church fair in Graaff-Reinet has been cancelled. Instead, an online market kicked off on Wednesday 25 November.
The well-known fair would've taken place on 28 November.
"We were looking forward to the fair, but given the amount of Covid-19 cases in Graaff-Reinet and surrounds, we've unfortunately had to cancel the event," said one of the organisers, Felicity Minnaar. "This decision is the safest choice," she added.
A virtual fair is instead being held on the GRandKAROO Facebook page, hosted by Nicola Beldon, until Sunday 29 November.
During this time, crafters' work will be advertised on the page, and buyers can contact the crafters directly to place an order. Most of the crafters are willing to courier to other parts of the country.
