KAROO NEWS - The Graaff-Reinet Cancer Association's AGM is taking place on 27 September at 10:00 at the Trinity Methodist Church, Caledon Street.
The association was started 51 years ago and are still going strong today.
Made up of volunteers they assist cancer patients on their journey providing practical help, meals and linen while qualified counsellors assist with emotional and psychological needs.
They also assist with travel and accommodation if a patient needs to travel for treatment.
The association often gives educational talks at schools.
