CRADOCK NEWS - The Round Table in Cradock is looking back on a packed month of community service during October.
As part of its standard activities, the organisation collected clothes and non-perishable foods from the people of Cradock and donated them to three community-based charity organisations.
Cradock Round Table 37 also served at three special events.
Fish River Canoe Marathon
On 10 October, at the Fish River Canoe Marathon, Round Table 37 hosted the beer tent and attracted many visitors with an ice-cold beer after completion of the rowing.
Tablers were all present as hosts and live music was presented. Thanks to their great team work, the occasion was very successful.
Cancer walk
On Saturday 18 October, Round Table supported the Cradock Cancer Organisation’s annual cancer walk.
It was a meaningful day, with support from local businesses, and members of the community joined in significant numbers.
The event was impactful, with a happy social gathering afterwards.
Adelaide: Vlakvark 500
On 27 October, the Cradock Round Tablers joined their fellow Round Tablers in Adelaide during their massive Vlakvark 500 project.
“It was an eye-opening experience for our tablers. It was good to observe, help and learn from team Adelaide. Their dedication is laudable,” said media manager Lizwi Ndolomba.
This day ended with some great fellowship with other members of Round Table from the Eastern Province and other areas.
The EP team was led by the area chairperson, Daneel Meiring.
Adelaide took extremely good care of all the visitors, showing great hospitality.
Thanks

A special mention goes to Cradock Preparatory School and other organisations in town, whose hearts are in the development of our community, for their participation.
“Looking back to the October month projects, Round Table Cradock 37 could pat themselves on the back for great assistance to the local community,” said chairperson Wium Hagen.
