EASTERN CAPE NEWS - Eastern Cape Traffic Authorities are advising motorists of snow on several mountain passes surrounding Graaff-Reinet.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said earlier today, Thursday, August 17, that the Lootsberg and Wapadsberg passes were closed due to heavy snowfall.
The media report reads as follows:
“Motorists are urge to be extra cautious in these conditions as the road surface is slippery. Traffic Officers are on duty in all these areas together with teams from disaster managemen.”
He said updates will be provided throughout today.
