Partly cloudy and cool to warm weather on Friday

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The weather on Friday will be cloudy to fine and slightly warmer than Thursday along the Garden Route and Karoo, according to the South African Weather Service.

The weather service hasn’t issued any severe weather warnings for Friday.

Western Cape
Morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy to fine and cool to warm. The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly to north-westerly along the south coast, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly to easterly from the afternoon, otherwise moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn index: Moderate

Western half of the Eastern Cape
Partly cloudy and cool, becoming fine in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly, otherwise light and variable, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Cloudy with fog patches in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cold in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be Moderate south-westerly, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly.

Extended weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday

Partly cloudy and cold to cool across the country, however, a cold front will make landfall on Saturday in the Western Cape, resulting in isolated showers and rain in the west coast and adjacent interior, spreading to the south coast on Sunday as the front exits the country.
