KAROO NEWS - South Africa National Parks (SANParks) announced in a statement that all parks that allow self-drive excursions will reopen for day visitors on Monday (8 June).
“We appreciate that after two months of confinement, the public is keen to engage with nature,” said CEO Fundisile Mketeni.
Hides, picnic spots and braai areas will remain closed. Guests must also adhere to level 3 lockdown regulations by wearing masks, keeping social distance and following transport capacity directive.
Guests are also asked not to throw litter away in the parks.
Visitors are encouraged to book and pay visits telephonically or online to reduce face-to-face contact between staff and guests. Bookings can be made at 012 428 9112 or on www.sanparks.org.
Park enthusiasts will soon be able to return to their favourite pass time.
