In 2007 he was promoted to warrant officer: relief commander at Fort Beaufort Police Service where he was later transferred to Community Policing where additional duties such as second hand goods officer, liquor inspector, rural safety officer and communications were added to his job description.
He was promoted to captain: communications and liaison in Graaff-Reinet at the end of December 2018.
Captain Bradley Rawlinson will be ending his career in SAPS on Friday 29 October and will be retiring to his residence in Adendorp.
Captain Rawlinson will be sorely missed, says Graaff-Reinet Advertiser editor, Hugo Redelinghuys.
"Bradley was a true professional in every sense of the word. Always available and always on the ball with what was happening on the crime scene in and around Graaff-Reinet. His retirement is a great loss for the police in general and more specific for the local media. I am saddened by his departure on Friday but we all wish him well with the future."
