NIEU-BETHESDA NEWS - The Playwright’s House is looking forward to hosting a writers’ retreat from 20 to 24 October.

They are inviting writers to step into the inspiring home once owned by world-renowned playwright Athol Fugard for a five-day journey of creativity, culture and connection in the heart of the Karoo.

Writers and developing writers, and even those dreaming of becoming writers, will be able to immerse themselves in writing workshops, readings and discussions. 

A rare Athol Fugard film screening will also feature, as well as guided adventures and cultural experiences in this magical and historical Karoo village.

This unique retreat offers writers the space to create, reflect and be inspired by both the Karoo landscape and the legacy of Athol Fugard.
