GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Trinity Methodist Church in Graaff-Reinet had to make a few changes to their traditional bazaar due to Covid-19 regulations this year, but it was a success nonetheless. The bazaar managed to raise over R37 000 for the church.
On 28 August, the church held a roadhouse bazaar, to cut down on big crowds.
The event was advertised online, people placed their orders and paid beforehand, and on that Friday, they simply drove up to the doors of the church hall, where roadhouse runners assisted them.
"Trinity wishes to thank the community of Graaff-Reinet and surrounding areas for their most generous support in so many ways, in making the bazaar a success," said Mariana Evans on behalf of the church.
According to Evans, the best part of the bazaar was the fellowship. "With us being under lockdown and separated for some time, the timing was perfect to draw people together again as a family."
