GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Patriotic Alliance held a netball tournament on Women's Day at Kroonvale to celebrate women in the area.
Marsha Goliath and Elsebe Moos helped to organise the tournament. The area was packed with young girls and their mothers who played and supported the teams.
Clubs that attended were Jansenville Seniors, Willowmore Seniors, Birds United netball club, juniors and seniors from Kroonvale, Central Seniors, Masizakhe Senior Netball Club, Academy Juniors and Seniors Netball Club, Red Life Juniors and Seniors Club from Kroonvale, Morocco Eagles Juniors and Seniors Netball Club from Asherville, Galaxy Juniors and Seniors Netball Club and the Grace Warriors from Graaff-Reinet.
The tournament was a great success. All the prizes and trophies were sponsored by the Patriotic Alliance leaders in the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality.
At the end of the tournament winning teams received prize money from the members of the Patriotic Alliance.
The senior first prize was a trophy and R1 000 and the second prize was R500.
The juniors received R600 for the first prize and R300 for the second prize.
