GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - October marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month, during which time employees of the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality also did their part to raise awareness.
On 30 October, staff members across the municipal district wore pink and donated an amount of their choice to the worthy cause. According to Acting Municpal Spokesperson, Edwardine Abader, the money raised will be given to the Director of Corporate Services to donate to the Cancer Association.
In Graaff-Reinet, municipal employees also dedicated time to pray for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
