Midland Singles done and dusted

GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On the weekend of 11 and 12 January the Midland Singles competitions for Novices, Open and Veterans took place at three different clubs.

Novices

The Novices competition for men and women was played on the greens of the Middelburg Bowling Club.

All the games were played on a round-robin basis and the winners were as follows:
Men - Lourens van der Walt from the Middelburg Bowling Club on 4 game points and + 37 shots after 4 games.

Ladies - Sarah-Ann Schoeman from the Somerset East Bowling Club on 2 + 26 after 2 games.

Open

The Open competition was played on the greens of the Cradock Bowling Club and the results were as follows:
Men - Niel Colyn from the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club on 5 + 41 after 6 games.
Ladies - Helene de Wet from the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club on 5 + 74 after 5 games.

Veterans

The Somerset East Bowling Club hosted the Veterans competition and the winners were:
Men - Deon Deetlefs from the Somerset East Bowling Club on 4 + 18 after 5 games.
Ladies - Riana du Toit from the Graaff-Reinet Bowling Club on 2 + 27 after 2 games.
The winners will feature in the EP Singles Final on the weekend 25/26 January at a venue still to be announced.

The Open Singles winners are Niel Colyn and Helene de Wet, with Tienie Prinsloo at the back.
