GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - In the latest weather forecast from the South African Weather Service, severe weather alerts have been given for disruptive rainfall over Gauteng, North West & the north eastern parts of Free State.
Impact based warnings:
- Orange Level 5 Warning: Disruptive Rainfall resulting in flooding of informal settlements, low-lying areas and bridges as well as dirt roads is expected over the western parts of the North West as well as the central parts of the Free State.
- Yellow Level 4 Warning: Disruptive Rainfall resulting in flooding of informal settlements, low-lying areas and bridges as well as dirt roads is expected over the north-eastern parts of the North West as well as the northern parts of Gauteng.
- Yellow Level 2 Warning: Disruptive Rainfall resulting in Localized flooding of informal settlements, low-lying areas and bridges as well as dirt roads, is expected over the south-eastern parts of the North West, southern parts of Gauteng as well as the eastern parts of Mpumalanga and Free State.
- Yellow Level 2 Warning: Severe Thunderstorm resulting in localised damage to infrastructure, settlements(informal), property, vehicles, livelihood and livestock as well as Localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges over the eastern parts of Eastern Cape.
- Yellow Level 1 Warning: Damaging winds resulting in difficulty navigating seas between Lamberts Bay and Cape Agulhas.
