GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Football Association (LFA) is gearing up for an exciting new season, with matches scheduled to begin this weekend.
The LFA, operating under the statutes of the South African Football Association (SAFA), is tasked with promoting, administering and developing football within the municipality.
Its objectives include fostering the sport's growth, ensuring fair play and highlighting the values football can bring, particularly through youth and development programmes.
In line with these goals, the LFA organises local competitions and defines the areas of authority for its leagues and members.
This weekend’s opening matches promise thrilling action as teams face off for the start of the season.
Saturday’s fixtures include JV Manchester United FC from Jansenville taking on Birds United from Kroonvale in Jansenville.
Meanwhile, Super Stars will go head-to-head with JV Shooting Stars. On Sunday, Portugal Birds will clash with Camdeboo FAD at Botanics Sport Grounds, with kickoff scheduled for 12:00.
