GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Graaff-Reinet police led by Captain Nomthandazo Maqanda dished out soup during their 67 minutes for Madiba last Thursday.
The police and Graaff-Reinet Community Policing Forum decided some hot soup and bread would be the perfect antidote to the recent cold.
While warming up the cold and hungry on the streets of Graaff-Reinet, they also educated the community about gender based violence.
Sergeant Zukisani Rala led the visible policing team in spreading the word that violence is never a solution.
Pamphlets about domestic violence and how the police can be of assistance were distributed.
The Graaff-Reinet reservists and spiritual crime prevention were also involved.
