ABERDEEN NEWS - Aberdeen community members are encouraged to join the Clean Aberdeen initiative on Saturday, 8 June, at 09:00.
The day will kick start outside Foodzone, by the central park.
The programme was founded by clr Rudy Jacobs and a group of civic-minded residents who hope to make a difference in the town once a month.
The aim of the initiative is to encourage people not to litter, and to see the benefits of a clean town centre.
Helpers can take along a pair of gloves, but bags for rubbish will be supplied.
“If you cannot help in town, take a bag and collect outside your home or in your street,” said one of the organizers, Judith Dardis. “Every bit helps.”
