GRAAFF-REINET NEWS & VIDEO - A strong cold front brought snow to the high lying areas near Graaff-Reinet, Nieu-Bethesda and Murraysburg today.
Snow has been falling in the area since the early morning hours.
The snow is a welcome sight for the communities of Nieu-Bethesda, Murraysburg and Graaff-Reinet with many locals and visitors heading up the surrounding passes to try out the fresh powder.
According to the SA Weather Service the snow will continue to fall throughout Sunday and into the early hours of Monday morning.
As this could result in heavy snowfall over high lying areas, motorists should be wary of travelling over passes such as Lootsberg Pass and Wapadsberg Pass.
