GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality's annual Colour Fun Walk to raise funds for the Camdeboo Hospice in Graaff-Reinet, took place last Friday with SANParks, Sassa, Department of Social Development, Saps and the Department of Labour joining in the fun.
The participants walked from the Robert Sobukwe building down Church Street, Somerset Street and Caledon Street to the Botanical Garden via Park Street.
Ward 3 councilor, Annela Koeberg, welcomed the participants while Dr Unathi Gobelo of the Department of Health spoke about different types of cancers.
The various activities included a potjiekos competition, an egg race, a relay, sack races, soccer and water games.
The potjiekos judges were James Madula of FNB, Ayrton Roy of Capitec and Councilor Eunice Kekana.
Social Development's potjie took first prize, SANParks came second and the municipality placed third.
The Department of Education took part in the Colour Run last Friday.
