GRAAFF-REINET — In SA, an estimated four million people suffer from diabetes and many don't even know they are at risk of the condition.

It shows no dramatic symptoms until it is truly established in your system.

A simple blood sugar test will show if further tests need to be done. Early detection of the disease is very important. It could save your sight, your limbs, your organs, your life.

Nutrition plays an important part in managing diabetes. Carbohydrates which include sweets, cakes and sweet drinks need to be monitored, eating non-starchy vegetables increased and salt intake reduced. 

Free testing will be done at Clicks, Graaff-Reinet on World Diabetes Day - Tuesday, November 14 - from 09:00 to 14:00.
