GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The One's Fate Foundation donated clothing and shoes to a family of 13 whose house in Asherville, Graaff-Reinet, burnt down on 5 December.
The foundation also received a donation of R300 which was used to buy food for the family.
The donated items were handed over to Ward Councillor Nathan Jacobs on 7 December, who delivered it.
"We are very thankful for the response from the community who is working so hard to restore the dignity of this family," says Mbulelo Tini, chairperson of the foundation.
"Anyone wanting to lend a helping hand can do so by dropping off their donation at Graaff-Reinet Primary School or handing it Counsellor Jacobs.
The One's Fate Foundation also donated pre-loved clothing, juice, chips and biscuits to Mama Evelyn's God Voorsien Soup Kitchen in Nieu-Bethesda.
Through the foundation's support, she was able to host a Christmas party for the children that she has been feeding at the soup kitchen.
Tini expressed his gratitude towards everyone who assisted in making this day possible.
"We believe that together, we can heal many hearts in our communities," says Tini. "The little we do to heal where we can, we will continue to do."
