GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The SAPS won the trophy for the best potjie at the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality's (DBNLM) colour fun walk and potjiekos competition held recently.
Various state departments and institutions participated in the annual fundraising event at the Botanic Sports Ground, including SANParks, Sassa, the Department of Education, SAPS, the Department of Employment and Labour, Correctional Services, the Department of Transport, East Cape Midlands College and the Dr. Beyers Naudé Local Municipality.
The funds generated at this year’s event will be donated to NPOs within the DBNLM. The event was a resounding success, bringing together the various departments in a festive environment.
Members enjoyed a full day of fun, with different games and activities organised for each department to compete in.
The potjiekos dishes were exceptional, and everyone had the opportunity to taste the delicious samples on offer.
The day was not only about competition but also about wellness and morale, giving members a chance to unwind and socialise outside the work environment.
