KAROO NEWS - During the First World at 11:00 on 11 November 1918 all guns on the Western Front between France and Germany fell silent after millions of soldiers and civilians had died.
And in our country we also have a history of wars the Frontier wars, Anglo-Boer wars and the Freedom Struggle and traditionally in many SA towns since 1919 memorial services are held in remembrance of those who have died in the fight what they have thought was freedom.
In Graaff-Reinet all those who have died in wars will be remembered during a memorial service at St James Anglican Church on 10 November at 17:00.
If you have any names of fallen heroes that you want to voice during this service you can contact Alan Bigs on 084 245 0728 or Gerald Buisman on 060 339 8427.
Community members can also bring flowers as a token of remembrance.
