ABERDEEN NEWS - The Aberdeen branch of the DA in the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality embarked on a cleaning operation on Human Rights Day, Thursday 21 March.
Councillor Eldrige Ruiters, accompanied by 10 DA activists and 15 children, joined forces to clear the field opposite the Aberdeen clinic in Lotusville of plastic and paper waste. "Everyone has the right to a clean environment that is not harmful to their health and well-being," said Ruiters. "This is a fundamental right that needs to be respected and protected." According to Ruiters the DA has declared war on waste and this cleaning operation was just the beginning of many more planned by them.
