JANSENVILLE NEWS AND VIDEO - Protesters lined the road and cheered as a police car escorted an ambulance carrying the Graaff-Reinet Covid-19 patient out of Jansenville at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, after two days of protests.
A military presence was also in the town, keeping a watchful eye on proceedings.
According to a source in Jansenville, the patient was taken by ambulance to his home in Geluksdal, Graaff-Reinet. He is able to walk, but no further details of his condition are known at this stage.
No comment has been received from the Department of Health on the Jansenville protests, despite several requests for information.
