GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The South African Weather Service has issued the following weather warnings in their latest update this afternoon:
A yellow level 1 warning has been issued for damaging waves leading to localised disruption to beachfront activities, are expected between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas from Monday evening, spreading to Alexander Bay and Plettenberg Bay from Tuesday morning.
Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected in places over the interior of the Namakwa district (Northern Cape) and Witzenberg Municipality for tomorrow.
Expected weather on Tuesday:
Isolated to scattered rain and showers are expected over the south-western parts of the country, with possible strong winds and rough waves along the west and south coast of South Africa.
Western Cape
Cloudy and cold with isolated showers over the eastern interior, otherwise scattered to
widespread. It will be very cold over the interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh west to north-westerly becoming southwesterly from the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low
Western half of the Eastern Cape
Cloudy and cool with scattered afternoon showers. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south- westerly.
Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Fine and cool, becoming partly cloudy with isolated showers south of the escarpment in the
evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-westerly.
