GRAAFF-REINET NEWS — The Dr Beyes Naudé Local Municipality has now opened nominations for Ward Committee members for all wards.

 All organised formations, interested groups, sectors and geographical blocks are invited to register and nominate a candidate for the election of new ward committees. Nominations are open from  February 20 to March 10.

Nomination forms are available at all Municipal offices, Libraries, Municipal websites (www.camdeboo.gov.za or www.baviaans.gov.za ) and the Mayor’s Office (Graaff-Reinet Town Hall).

Nominations can be made for representatives from the following sectors and  organisations: Women and Children, Infrastructure Services, Elderly and Disability, Local Economic Development, Health and Social Development, Youth, Land and Farming, Sport, Heritage Recreation, Arts and Culture, Business, Community Safety and Security, Faith-Based organisations, Education, Community-based organisations and Civic Associations.

Elections will take place in the various wards during meetings between March 27 and 30. The various wards will have meetings specifically for the elections.
