INTERNATIONAL NEWS - A corrupt British police officer who led a secret double life running a cannabis farm has been jailed.
The 30-year-old Afghan-born man, who fled the Taliban for a safer life in the UK, has been sentenced to four years.
Police Constable Hemayat Enayat, masterminded a cannabis production unit at one of his two British homes in between processing suspects at a police station.
He was only caught after officers became suspicious he was accessing police computer files to get confidential information on criminal associates.
They raided his homes and discovered almost 50 cannabis plants worth R400,000 plus hydroponic equipment.
