WILLOWMORE NEWS - Water supply to Willowmore from Wanhoop is under severe pressure.
Daily water supply from Wanhoop decreased and the pumping of water ranged between 500 - 700 kl per day.
Unfortunately, due to increased demand and the decreased available water from Wanhoop, some areas experience water shortages.
Currently, reservoirs levels are as follows:
• Dam 1&2 = 12%
• Dam 3 = 5%
• Dam 4 = 80%.
To assist with the increase of reservoir levels, the municipality is forced to close supply to all residents every Thursday and Sunday, as of 5 January.
Residents are required to ensure that they have enough stored water available during this period. Also, water will be carted to areas where water shortages are experienced.
Community members are reminded to utilise available water sparingly.
The municipality apologies for any inconvenience caused.
