GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Two alleged Port Elizabeth thieves met their match in Graaff-Reinet on Monday, where they were arrested with stolen property worth R150 000.
According to Captain Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson of the Graaff-Reinet SAPS, members of the Operational Command Centre acted on information that the two suspects, aged 39 and 42, were in Graaff-Reinet shortly before 20:00.
The suspects were accused of stealing vehicle testing machinery from a business in PE.
“Swift action led to their arrest after their vehicle was searched,” said Rawlinson.
The Graaff Reinet Station Commander, Colonel André Arends, applauded the members for their quick reaction, the recovery of the stolen property and the arrest of the two suspects.
The suspects are due to appear in the Graaff Reinet Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 16 September.
