GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - On Saturday 18 June Topsy Bottoman celebrated her 80th birthday.
Her loved ones threw her a surprise birthday party at the Methodist Church Hall at uMasizakhe. The church hall was packed with church members and family who came to celebrate with her.
Topsy was born in the district of Cradock. She remembers her parents had 15 children (three girls and 12 boys), of which only two are still alive, she and her sister, Nontinam Kula and 10 grandchildren.
Topsy said she is so grateful to the Lord who spared her for 80 years.
She also advised her grandchildren to respect the elders as God will bless them with more years as she is blessed.
