ABERDEEN NEWS - Following up a lead, Aberdeen police confiscated a substantial haul of dagga on 26 May.
In an anonymous telephone call to the station at noon, Sgt Jemile Green and Cst Arnaut Frazenburg were tipped off that a red Toyota Etios was delivering a large quantity of dagga to a house on Nobuhle Street, Thembalesizwe.
When they arrived at the address, they found two men from Port Elizabeth, aged 54 and 47, with the dagga, which was packed into plastic bags. The men were arrested for possession of dagga, and appeared in Aberdeen Magistrate’s court on Thursday. The case was provisionally withdrawn for finalisation of the investigation.
Police did not want to reveal how much dagga was found, but released a photo of police members with black bags filled with dagga.
