ABERDEEN NEWS — A 13-year-old boy was taken into police custody this week for breaking into a house in Jackson Street in August.
He allegedly broke a window at the back of the house and forced it open. Electrical appliances, jewellery, a flat-screen TV, clothing, glasses and CD players were stolen from the house. The youngster will appear in court on October 5.
A 2-week old baby girl passed away during the night of September 24 in a house in Meyer Street Aberdeen. An inquest docket was opened, but it was found that the little girl had died from natural causes.
A case of cruelty to animals was opened after a man reported that his dog had been shot with a rifle in Voortrekker Street, near the Bowling Club. The case is under investigation.
Last Friday at 10:00 an 18-year-old youth was arrested in Pep Stores, Aberdeen, for shoplifting. Four pairs of socks, with a value of R47, were taken. The suspect will appear in court on Thursday.
A housebreaking occurred sometime last Friday night at a house in Vygie Street, Lotusville, after a window was forced open. Electrical tools were stolen from the house, with a value R12 350. The case is still under investigation.
