GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - A suspect (28) has been arrested after a firearm was stolen during a housebreaking on Friday, 11 November.
According to provincial police spokes-person, WO Majola Nkohli, members of the Graaff-Reinet Zone1 Operational Command Centre (OCC) were asked to assist in the search for the firearm on Monday, 14 November.
A warrant was obtained to search the premises of a suspected drug dealer, and during the search information was obtained that the suspect was seen with the stolen firearm on Sunday, 13 November.
The man was arrested in Aberdeen and the firearm and ammunition were recovered.
He was charged with possession of the stolen property and is due to appear in the Aberdeen Magistrate's Court soon.
