On Saturday afternoon the Stallions faced up to the Masizakhe 1 team in a T20 clash on the Botanics grounds in Graaff-Reinet. Thanks to inspired bowling by Michael Bantom, who returned figures of three wickets for a paltry nine runs in his allotted four overs, Masizakhe were restricted to 129 runs all out in their 20 overs.
Stallions set about the run chase in a positive fashion.
An explosive 64 runs not out by Juandre Davids and double-digit contributions by three other batsmen saw Stallions score the winning runs with only three wickets down.
Stallions will play their next game against Klipplaat Cricket Club on Saturday 2 March at the Botanics grounds in Graaff-Reinet, commencing at 10:00.
