Update
GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Camdeboo Hospice in Church Square has many ongoing and diverse regular fundraising projects, and would like to bring these to the attention of members of the wider community.
Hospice Honey is available from the office and other outlets in town, namely Oasis, Brian Bands Sports, Reinet Studios, and Reinet Antiques.
The honey is bottled on a wine farm in the Western Cape, and is sold only to registered hospices throughout the country with the understanding that they, in turn, sell it at the suggested retail price of R46 per bottle, and that all proceeds will be kept by the relevant hospice.
Hospice Honey is sold at R46 for a 375g plastic bottle. Unlike many imported brands of honey, which have been diluted with sugar syrup, it is pure honey bottled on the farm.
A second regular event is the weekly jumble sales. These are held every Friday from 09:00 – 11:30 in the Hospice garage. There is always a large selection of clothes of varying sizes, sold at a very reasonable price. Donations of clothes in good condition are also always welcome!
Finally Hospice has an eclectic selection of second hand books, with something to suit all tastes.
Anyone can go and browse through the books in the boardroom during office hours (08:00 – 16:00) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
There is a vast selection of English and Afrikaans books, both fiction and non-fiction, with prices ranging from as little as R5 to a mere R45.
Again, donations of pre-read books in good condition would be greatly appreciated.
Any enquiries can be directed to the Hospice office on 049 892 4608.
