Update
GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Shoprite Graaff-Reinet has closed its doors until further notice following a positive Covid-19 testing.
This was confirmed to Graaff-Reinet Advertiser by Shoprite’s media team this afternoon, 23 June.
“We closed the store and brought in a professional decontamination company to sanitize and deep clean the store,” their statement read.
According to Shoprite, an employee screening programme supported by the company's mobile clinic has been put into place. “Where necessary, those with close contact are required to self-quarantine for 14 days.”
Shoprite said they are working closely with the authorities. “The store will be reopened in consultation with the Provincial Department of Health,” they concluded.
