Update
CRADOCK NEWS - Yesterday morning (20 January) the entire Cradock was cut off from the rest of the world as angry protesters blocked all the roads in and out of the town.
The protests were apparently aimed at the ongoing bad service delivery received from the Inxuba Yethemba Local Municipality.
Both the R61 from Tarkastad to Cradock and the N10 leading from Port Elizabeth to Cookhouse were obstructed.
SAPS advised travellers to reschedule their trips until the matter has been resolved. The roads were blocked with burning tyres and huge rocks.
At the time of going to press the protests were still underway and the roads still closed.
