KAROO NEWS - Residents are asked to report active nests with secretary bird chicks, that are less than eight weeks old and have not fledged from the nest yet, to Maryke Stern of SANParks.
“Residents can take a picture at the nest and send it to me if they are not sure of the age,” Stern told the Advertiser.
According to Stern, the Birdlife SA Secretary Bird project was recently donated four tracking devices, and given a generous donation to cover the deployment costs. “ They are excited to hopefully get working in our region soon!”
