KAROO NEWS - The Executive Mayor of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Eunice Kekana, has taken a stand against gender-based violence, and calls on all those being abused to report the matter.
The municipality released a photo of Kekana holding a sign this morning, which reads “Stop gender-based violence!”.
The mayor urged those being abused, or who suspects that someone is being abused, to report the matter to their nearest police station or victim support centre.
They can also call the gender-based violence hotline on 0800 428 428 or send a ‘please call me’ to *120*7867#.
