GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - The whole of Graaff-Reinet is currently experiencing a massive electrical supply interruption because of a surge arrestor that is damaged at Hangklip - surge arresters are safety devices that protect electrical systems and appliances from damage due to power surges.
Eskom notified the Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality of this fault about a hour ago.
Only residents that are off the grid will be uninterrupted by this failure.
Unfortunately, no restoration time could be provided by Eskom. Consumers will be kept updated.
The Advertiser is also experiencing problems at their offices since this morning.
