GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - An argument between mother and son, are investigated as the reason for a house that was set alight in Pearston.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson said the 70-year-old owner of the house, alleged that the 24-year-old suspect argued with his mother in the complainant’s house, at Khanyiso location, the evening of 30 December.
The suspect left the home, but late the evening came back to eat. Another verbal argument broke out and he left again.
At 2.30am on 31 December the complainant's neighbour came and informed him that his house was on fire. The fire was put out. Only one room with lots of valuables was destroyed
The Graaff-Reinet SAPS Local Criminal Record Centre’s forensic experts are investigating the course of the fire.
