ABERDEEN NEWS - Aberdeen SAPS members led by Station Commander Captain Minnaar, together with Provincial Traffic Officials, manned check points on the N9 national road between Graaff-Reinet and Aberdeen between 12:00 and 15:00 on a cold and wet Easter Monday.
Vehicle roadworthy inspections were carried out, and fines issued for outstanding traffic offences and traffic violations.
Still within the Graaff-Reinet police cluster, Capt Mapoe and police officials from Rietbron and Willowmore, were simultaneously responsible for roadblocks further south on the N9 road, between Willowmore and Uniondale.
A total of 143 vehicles and occupants were inspected, and two fines of R600 were issued for traffic violations.
