GRAAFF-REINENT NEWS - In a proactive move towards ensuring the seamless return to school, Member of Executive Council (MEC) Bukiwe Fanta of the Department of Social Development embarked on a visit to Lingcom Primary School in Kroonvale.
This initiative is part of the government's broader back-to-school programme, aimed at evaluating the state of readiness in schools.
As the provincial district development model champion for Sarah Baartman, Fanta initiated the programme by conducting a thorough assessment at Lingcom Primary School.
The school, in turn, warmly welcomed the MEC and her entourage, eliciting applause from the students gathered in the school assembly area, seated on the cement floor.

The department is tasked with managing all grants received from the government and ensuring that every individual possesses a birth certificate, emphasizing that every child is entitled to receive the grant.
