GRAAFF-REINET NEWS - Union High's Grade 12 learners walked out of the examination hall for the last time on Tuesday, which they celebrated by stepping out without their school shoes.
According to a statement by the school, the learners left the shoes to be donated to those less fortunate.
"Deeply rooted in Union High School’s history, is a culture of caring and a sense of social responsibility," the school said. "It is, therefore, only fitting that the end of a Union High learner’s journey is marked by a final act of service.
We're done with school and done with out shoes.
A few of the pairs of shoes to be donated to learners in need.
